Recruitment

In addition to the Official Square policy on player conduct within Final Fantasy XIV, The Azure Brotherhood (The Brotherhood) has a code of conduct expected of all Free Company (FC) members.

Respect for Others

As part of The Brotherhood, it is expected that all members keep a respect for one another, both those inside and outside of the Free Company. Intentionally harassing other players (ie: Trolling), interrupting RolePlay, or otherwise causing drama is unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. Not only does it reflect poorly upon our fellow members, but upon yourself as well. Notably, we have a zero tolerance policy for members who seek to directly disrupt or interrupt RolePlay of any form.

Language

We keep a fairly relaxed policy regarding language within the FC. On both an In Character and Out of Character level, we strongly encourage our members to refrain from excessive use of inappropriate language. Simply remember to remain civil and mature.

No Drama

While we also consider it a show of respect, it is also a matter of maturity. We expect everyone in our ranks to act according to their age. This is not high school. Dragging others into drawn out series of drama will not be tolerated. This includes everything from mindless bickering, gossip, or personal call-outs.

If you find yourself becoming tilted in a group, learn to take a step back and cool off, never directly confront your fellow Brothers or Sisters with sleights you feel they may have made. Deconstructive criticism or harassment is never okay. If you have an issue with a member of the Brotherhood, please bring it to an Officer who will mediate where possible.

Separation of IC and OOC

All members must understand the difference between In Character and Out of Character interactions and how to separate the two.

No Politics

Politics, especially in recent times, can be incredibly divisive and can be seen everywhere across media platforms. As a multi-cultural and multi-national guild, we ask that deep political conversation be checked at the door when it comes to our Discord server or in-game FC chat.

Check Negativity at the Door

We all go through rough bouts in our life, and it sucks, we know. We expect everyone to be supportive of one another, but we also want to keep a positive atmosphere within the guild. What this means is that if you are the type of person who is always negative, you likely won't be a good fit.

Be Comfortable Asking Questions

LASTLY, if you are ever unsure of anything (mechanics in a guild group, RP character questions, etc) don't be afraid to ask. We all start somewhere, and we seek to foster a helpful environment for all our members.
