What is the Stormpaw Tribe's policy on Generative AI?

The Stormpaw Tribe is committed to supporting human creativity and ethical practices.

• We do not support the use of generative AI (including for written content and images) for commercial purposes. This includes anything intended to generate revenue, create promotional materials, or replace the work of human professionals.
• For personal use, such as generating references for your role-playing character, we take a neutral stance. We understand these tools can be useful for individual endeavors.

It is important to us to clarify that we specifically refer to these outputs as "AI Image Generation" rather than "AI art," as we do not consider them a form of human artistic creation.

Your guild doesn't seem to follow this or that in-game lore!?

We strive to stay faithful to the game's current events and lore, but we do take some creative liberties. Sometimes, parts of the official lore may not resonate with the community. For example, many role-players choose to ignore the events of the Shadowlands expansion, and our guild generally adopts this stance. We leave it up to individual players whether they want to acknowledge it or not. Ultimately, our goal is to create an enjoyable and consistent role-playing experience for our members.

Worgen don't have tails! Why are you allowing them?

This is a fantasy game, and players are free to role-play what they want as long as they are not hurting anyone or disrupting the community. If a Worgen player wants their character to have a tail, we don't have an issue with it. We ask that you respect the creative choices of others, even if they don't align perfectly with the official lore.

What is the guild's stance on ERP (Erotic Role-Playing)?

The guild does not police what our members do with other consenting adults in private. Our focus is on maintaining a respectful and safe environment within the public guild spaces. As long as no one is breaking our rules publicly or harming another person, we do not get involved in private matters between players.

Do I need a specific add-on to RP with the guild?

You don't need any special add-ons to join the guild. However, we strongly suggest using a profile add-on like Total RP 3. These tools help you share your character's name, description, and backstory with other players, which makes it much easier to interact and find role-playing opportunities in the game world.

What is the guild's stance on power-leveling and character progression in role-play?

We believe that a character's power level in the game—their gear or character level—doesn't always have to align with their role-play strength or skill. We encourage players to create characters that are believable within the world, and we value good storytelling over having the "most powerful" character. A level 1 character can be just as interesting and impactful as a max-level one in our guild.

Does the guild play any other games together?

Yes! We have a Minecraft server, and we also play other games together occasionally, like Dead by Daylight and Project Zomboid.

Do I have to join the Guild's Discord?

Yes. We use Discord as our main line of communication for announcements, events, and community chat. You are not required to use voice channels, but joining the server is mandatory for all members.

Why does the guild require me to be 18 or older?

The themes within our guild are considered mature, and we have an 18+ requirement to help avoid potential issues that can arise from having a mixed-age community. This policy helps us maintain a stable and mature environment for everyone.
