Shadowlands |
- Nope. The events of this time are considered a strange and largely unbelievable tale told by some adventurers. Most members of the Stormpaw Tribe dismiss it as an elaborate fever dream or a particularly bad bout of loa-induced hallucinations.

Battle for Azeroth |
- The Fourth War. The Horde-Alliance conflict was at its peak. This is when the tribe's independent stance was solidified. Commander Gorash Grimjaw demanded the tribe's loyalty, but Chieftain Thaika Stormpaw, a paladin with ties to the Argent Dawn, refused. In an act of diplomacy, the tribe signed a treaty of non-aggression with the Alliance.
- This is a foundational event for the tribe's current neutral stance, and a great time for characters to have been involved in major military campaigns and seeing the world shift dramatically.
- The tribe officially dissolved the position of Chieftain, choosing instead to be led by the Stormpaw Council. This marks a major shift in the tribe's governance.

Legion |
- The Third Invasion of the Burning Legion. The biggest threat to Azeroth in recent memory. A time of sacrifice and unity against a common foe. Warlords of Draenor |
- An alternate timeline adventure. Many characters were involved in the Iron Horde's invasion and traveled to Draenor.
- This could be a good point for a character to have been "away" from Azeroth, returning later with new experiences and stories from a world that never was.
- It was also during this period that the Stormpaw Tribe welcomed the first Pandaren to their island, setting up a unique cultural exchange between the two races.

Mists of Pandaria |
- A time of exploration and conflict on the continent of Pandaria. A good period for characters who were focused on more "local" conflicts, ancient mysteries, and spiritual journeys.
- Tauren characters, in particular, might have found a unique kinship with the Pandaren and their reverence for harmony and balance.
- The brothers Thaika and Antarok finally reconcile after years of conflict, leading to a period of stability and growth for the tribe. Thaika once more takes the mantle of Chieftain.

Cataclysm |
- The world-changing event caused by Deathwing. The entire face of Azeroth was reshaped. This is a foundational event for characters who remember the "old world."
- For the Stormpaw, this was a period of great spiritual upheaval. While the tribe had already abandoned their ancestral lands, the Cataclysm officially wiped away their past, and with it any hope of returning. The survivors, led by interim Chieftain Antarok Stormpaw, began searching for a new home. That home, was found on Tor'nau Island.

World of Warcraft (Classic) |
- The foundational period after the third war, when tensions between the Horde and Alliance were still raw...
- For the Stormpaw Tribe, this was a time of wandering. The remaining members, just under half their original number, had relocated to the Southern Barrens and Mulgore after the fall of their ancestral home.
- Thaika Stormpaw joined the Argent Dawn during this time and became a paladin, fighting the Scourge, while renouncing his claim to the title of Chieftain. This created a period of friction between Thaika and Antarok, who took up the mantle of interim Chieftain.

Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne |
- The events leading directly into the start of WoW Classic. The Scourge is loose and Arthas has become the Lich King. Older characters would have a very fresh memory of the horror and destruction wrought by the undead plague.
- The tribe's ancestral home in Thousand Needles was finally overcome by the centaur. Chieftain Kaitharn Stormpaw fell, and the remaining members fled, leaving the village in ruins. The survivors, led by Thaika Stormpaw, sought refuge with the new Horde.

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos |
- The Third War. The Burning Legion invades from the north, and the Scourge is unleashed. This is a very recent and fresh memory for older characters. The Tauren, in particular, would have been deeply affected by the loss of their lands and the need to seek refuge in Kalimdor under Thrall's leadership.
- The Stormpaw Tribe, still living in Thousand Needles, faced the growing threat of the centaur with dwindling numbers. The tribe's progressive values were taking hold during this time, with members beginning to choose their own destinies rather than being confined by clan tradition.

- For the Stormpaw Tribe, this was a time of relative peace and prosperity in North-Eastern Thousand Needles, with the tribe fully established and its customs well-practiced.

Founding of the Stormpaw Tribe |
- The Stormpaw, Hawkeye, and Spiritfeather clans forge a pact to merge into a single tribe. Soon after, the Ironhoof Clan, on the brink of extinction, joins them. The tradition of spearfishing, brought by the Hawkeye Clan, becomes a central part of the tribe's culture.
- The tribe's founding members decide to begin a move away from a strict caste system, instead establishing a council with representatives from each clan. This period is foundational for the tribe's identity, establishing the core values of unity and adaptability that would be tested in the years to come.
