Slightly tall for a Vulpera, this scruffy red fox stands at an even four feet (not counting his ears). He's of a slender but lean build, certainly in-shape enough to be running around the wilds on various adventures all the time. Markings include dark fur on his ear tips and around his eyes and some sparse dark stripes stripes along his back and neck.
Rarely wears a shirt and generally dresses in light clothing so he's ready for any physical activity that might be required (with his coat of fur he rarely has to worry about the cold). When he does wear armor, it's normally gear repurposed from Kirin Tor warmages, along with a chainmail tabard and a helmet that one might politely call "custom" that he kitbashed himself in his workshop.
Generally laid-back, confident, and unbothered by much -- VERY excitable to a fault when something heavily piques his interest, though.
Long ago, when Torvick was merely a kit, the Scourge returned to the world and Dalaran found itself on the frontlines of the war in Northrend. In the process of teleporting there, the mage Avacund found himself mistakenly transported to the unfamiliar lands of Vol'dun, where Torvick's caravan took him in. Torvick, having already gained a keen interest in the arcane arts from various books salvaged across Vol'dun or traded with Tortollans, bothered him constantly for more information, and luckily Avacund was more than happy to share while he researched a way to get to Dalaran's new location and a friendship was struck between the two.
Some weeks later, the mage had properly calculated his portal and was due to leave the next morning, but as fate would have it the caravan came under fire from a group of Sethrak raiders. Too fast for anyone to react, the caravan was set upon and slaughtered, and it was by mere chance that Torvick happened to be chatting with Avacund at the time, who by the skin of their teeth managed to get them both to safety. No others in the caravan were so lucky.
Avacund took pity on young Torvick and brought him along to Dalaran that night, seeing that the young vulpera had nowhere to go but the unforgiving dunes. In no time at all, Torvick enrolled in the academy there, and by the time of Dalaran's next foray into a war, this time against the Burning Legion, he was a graduate. Having specialized in enchantment, the war against the Legion offered him an opportunity to hone his magical combat skills and study artifice from the Draenei; he was even one of the countless small hands who helped to build the Vindicaar. This was around the time he met Nathan Hailwood, with whom he became fast friends, and so began his association with the Stormpaw.
Since the end of the Third Invasion, Torvick has been living in Dalaran, plying his trade there, working with the Kirin Tor abroad, and finding time to explore the world in search of rare artifacts, magical and otherwise. He strives to revolutionize the engineering gnomes and goblins are known for, using magic to make such devices safer, cleaner, and easier to use. With Dalaran's recent destruction, he has moved to Tor'nau Isle, having become closer to members of the tribe in the intervening years, happily serving as an engineer with a magical edge for the tribe.
Never leaves home without his own custom-made Arcane Gnomish Army Knife. By channeling mana into it, hard light can be shaped into any tool or weapon he so desires on the fly, not unlike some of the tools and weapons ethereals use. Of course, he also always has his Voidbag to hold all his belongings and treasures, as well as a Diviner's Compass that points to whatever he's currently searching for. This compass only vaguely guides him in the right direction, unless he's already well familiar with the location it's pointing to or whatever he seeks is a source of powerful arcane magic.
